FULL-TIME
Teller Functions (50%)
- Always maintain a neat and organized work area. Make sure that you have ample supplies on hand and your Teller/CSR station is properly set up prior to opening for business.
- Count currency, coins, and checks received, by hand or using currency-counting machine.
- Cash checks and pay out money after verifying that signatures are correct, that written and numerical amounts agree, and that accounts have sufficient funds.
- Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and check accuracy of deposit slips.
- Examine checks for endorsements and to verify other information such as dates, bank names, identification of the persons receiving payments and the legality of the documents.
- Enter customers’ transactions into computers in order to record transactions and issue computer-generated receipts.
- Count and balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawers at end of shifts, and calculate daily transactions using computers, calculators, or adding machines.
- Identify transaction mistakes when debits and credits do not balance when running proof.
- Process transactions such as term deposits, retirement savings plan contributions, automated Teller/CSR transactions, night deposits, and mail deposits.
- Prepare and verify cashier’s checks.
- Process mortgage or other loan payments, verifying payment dates and amounts due.
- Provide exemplary customer service via phone and in person.
- Resolve problems or discrepancies concerning customers’ accounts.
- Explain, promote, or sell other bank products or services.
- Assist in balancing cash vault to ensure cash balances are correct. Count, verify, and post armored car deposits.
- Carry out special services for customers, such as ordering bank cards, check and internet banking products.
- Follow compliance reporting procedures concerning CTRs, SARs, others
- Assist in maintaining dual control and other bank logs such as: daily opening and closing checklist; vault access; night deposit access and content verification; mail deposits; outgoing wires; cashier’s checks; counter-checks; new account kits; key box contents; REG E debit card disputes; Teller/CSR over-short; cash transactions over $3,000; coin machine and ATM balancing; and Frost/Fed/TIB cash and coin buy/sell transactions.
- Willing to travel to different locations within the organization.

New Account Representative Functions (50%)
- Perform Teller Duties as required.
- Execute wire transfers.
- Interview customers in order to obtain information needed for opening accounts or renting safe-deposit boxes.
- Answer customers’ questions, and explain available services such as deposit accounts, CDs, and IRAs.
- Inform customers of procedures for applying for services such as Online Banking, ATM cards, direct deposit of checks, certificates of deposit and IRAs.
- Learn and follow CIP policy when opening new accounts.
- Obtain all necessary information and required documentation to open specific account type.
- Use computers and computer systems/programs to set up functions, enter data, or process information.
- Compile information about new accounts, enter account information into computers, scan and file related forms or other documents.
- Compile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit or verify information or data.
- Obtain credit records from reporting agencies.
- Cross-sell other value-added bank products and services.
- Issue initial and replacement safe deposit keys to customers and manage vault access to safety deposit boxes.
- Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Refer customers to appropriate bank personnel in order to meet their financial needs.
- Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Assess the value, importance, or quality of things or people.
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.

- Handle complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.

Travel Requirements:
This position has the following travel requirements: Regular travel to branch locations within the Urban North region & Steiner Ranch (includes out of town travel), dependable transportation, and may require overnight/multiple night’s stay in some out of town locations. Any mileage driven in excess of your normal commute from your home to your assigned home branch will qualify for reimbursement.
