Southtowns Care Center is currently seeking a Per-Diem Maintenance Assistant . This position is responsible for ensuring resident and staff safety by being responsible for repairs to the buildings and furnishings, as well as up-keep of the grounds including lawn care and snow / ice removal.
May be eligible for Union Benefits .
Duties / Responsibilities :
Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
- Manage heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.
- Plan and schedule repairs.
- Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
- Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
- Clean and assist with upkeep of facility.
- Upkeep of grounds, including lawn care and snow ice removal.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Physical Requirements :
Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend and crawl into awkward spaces.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
