ABOUT THE CLUB
Southview Country Club is a private, member-owned club with 100 years of history. The club was founded in 1919 with the purpose of bringing local businessmen closer together. This original idea still holds true today. Many of our members have joined Southview for the friendships and golf but they have remained members for the long-lasting memories and relationships they have created. The Club's Board of Directors, Club Management and Staff are dedicated to provide the best possible experiences to members and their guests in the utilization of amenities including quality golf, dining social and family activities.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Bag Room position has two primary responsibilities (but is not limited to); attending to the Bag Room and the Driving Range while providing a high level of customer service to all Members and Guests. Some knowledge of golf is a plus, but is not required. Ability to work Weekdays during the Fall is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILTIES
- Become familiar with members’ names and greet them accordingly in a manner to provide a warm welcome that will make them feel at home.
- Consistently display a positive and helpful attitude. Treat members and their guests kindly, assisting with any requests to ensure their best experience and highest level of satisfaction, in a timely manner.
- Responsible for making sure Members who are playing have their bags taken from their stall and waiting outside on a cart, push cart, or the bag rack depending on the Member’s preferences. All bags need to be placed into their respective stalls after use.
- Responsible for staging carts, and push carts.
- Ensure the driving range, short game, and driving range equipment are in constant order.
- Perform other duties as needed as requested by the Supervisor and Management.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Ability to quickly identify problems, analyze potential solutions and react to solve situations
- Effective communication skills, converse one on one in English
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 40 pounds
- Ability to multitask
- Friendly and outgoing personality
Job Types: Part-Time/Full-Time
Salary: $11.00-$17.00 per hour
Schedule: 8 hour shifts between 6:30AM – 10:00 PM
