Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and systems. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various components while providing excellent customer service. The Maintenance Person will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for both staff and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) are operating efficiently.
  • Schedule and supervise regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Coordinate and supervise external service providers (cleaning, landscaping, security, etc.).
  • Obtain and review bids, negotiate contracts, and ensure quality work is delivered.
  • Receive, prioritize, and resolve maintenance requests from office tenants or staff.
  • Maintain detailed records of work orders, repairs, and maintenance logs.
  • Perform routine cleaning of parking areas, including trash removal and debris pickup.
  • Maintain cleanliness of walkways, entryways, and loading zones.
  • Perform basic lawn care tasks such as weeding, mulching, trimming, and seasonal yard cleanup.
  • Coordinate snow removal and de-icing as needed in winter months
  • Assist in the preparation and management of maintenance budgets.
  • Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and reorder as needed.
  • Ensure all maintenance operations follow safety protocols and comply with local codes.
  • Maintain up-to-date safety certifications and inspection records.
  • Respond to facility-related emergencies such as power outages, flooding, or HVAC failures.
  • Be on-call for urgent after-hours issues.
  • Assist with office space planning, renovations, or relocation efforts.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Basic carpentry, painting, and repair skills.
  • Strong ability to maintain equipment and perform necessary repairs effectively.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various physical conditions.
  • Willingness to be on-call for emergencies or after-hours maintenance issues.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
