Summary of the position: The Specialty Services Business Manager is responsible for overall management and oversight of the various specialty services performed including Irrigation, Plant Health Care, and Turf Management. Specialty Services will act as their own division while collaborating with the Design Build and Landscape Care teams to deliver premium services to our client base.
Duties:
Establish and successfully meet key performance indicators specific to Specialty Services for sales, performance, and client retention.
Communicate with the VP of Operations, other Business Managers, Project and Operations Managers, Sales, Clients and staff to ensure a high level of communication, an exceptional quality standard, and efficient job performance is consistently met with all services.
Create and develop training protocols for specialty services, while working hands-on with staff to provide coaching and training.
Effectively manage both in-house and subcontractor crews to produce and perform work in a safe and efficient manner, while exceeding customer expectations in quality and service.
Assume responsibility for achieving the operational goals set forth on sites and ensure contractual services are completed to the client’s expectations and within the allotted hours.
Work with sales team to complete estimates and changes orders on contracts in a timely manner.
Prepare for, organize, and lead meetings to review recently completed, active and future services ensuring operating system (Aspire) is accurate and up to date. Provide weekly updates for hours worked, track inventory and materials used.
Appraise team performance and resolve any conflict that may arise with team members.
Maintain professional and courteous communication with clients when responding to customer needs or questions.
Adapts well to schedule changes and be flexible in the fast-paced environment.

Job requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Managerial occupation. Minimum 3 years of experience in Landscape Management Operations preferred. Strong effective communication skills. Time management skills. Must have a valid driver’s license, and an insurable driving record. Computer skills, creative problem solving, personnel management, organization, and customer service skills/experience preferred. Bilingual -Spanish a plus.
Educational Requirements: Four-year College or University program degree or certificate; or four (or more) years related experience and/or training.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 50lbs on a regular and consistent basis, move about the work site. Requires extended periods of activity including, walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting, up to 100% of a workday.
Work Environment: Exposed to exterior elements (i.e., pollen, chemicals, cold and heat etc.). External environment with all weather and terrain exposure.
