The Air Traffic Management Advisordelivers on our Purpose by providing thought Leadership and advocacy for safe and efficient programs, policies, and procedures with airport and air traffic management stakeholders. This role provides representation at industry and FAA meetings on ATM policies, collaborating with all stakeholders to protect the interests of Southwest Airlines and aligning our enterprise strategic initiatives involving air traffic and airfield management. Additional Details:
This role is offered as a remote workplace position, which may require travel for trainings, meetings, conferences, etc. Outside of those required visits, the majority of your working time may be spent in a remote location, away from our Corporate Campus. Please note, while this is a remote position, there is limited group of states or localities ineligible for Employees to regularly perform their work off-site. Those ineligible locations are: Alaska,Delaware, New Jersey, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

- Provide advice in order to resolve broad strategic issues through development and implementation of strategy and act as trusted resource in understanding ATM influences on the operation and projects or initiative delivery
- Responsible for strategic planning related to air navigation services and their impacts across the company's network
- Inform on present and future state of Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSP) through an understanding of internal and external challenges, identifying unique opportunities to enhance safety and efficiency
- Works with leader to align on priorities, constructively address project work, and build personal development plans
- Identify evolving business needs, industry trends, and advancements in the field of air traffic management that drives Southwest Airlines to adapt
- Manage enterprise change process to ensure new procedures continue to meet business needs
- Oversee execution of Department projects including root cause analysis, determination and resolution and recommend and institute operational changes to increase efficiencies and quality and/or decrease costs
- Provide guidance on complexities of air traffic management
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry trends
- Collaborate with all applicable parties inside SWA, stakeholders across our network and ANSP
- Influence internal and external stakeholders in the industry and with governmental agencies to ensure the best interests of Southwest Airlines are met pertaining to air traffic management

- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Expert-level experience, expansive andfar-reachingknowledge in:
- Airlines, air traffic management
- Microsoft products
- Airline or transportation industry experience
- Preferred: Knowledge of FAA programs involving NextGen, ATM, Airfield operations, DOD Special Activity Airspace etc.
- Preferred: Understanding of the role of FAA systems such ERAM, MicroEARTS, STARS, CRDA, etc.
- Preferred: Experience with most NextGen Programs i.e. PBN, TBFM, TFDM, MRO, TFMS, SWIM and the role they play in operating the Air Transportation System.

Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $137,250 - $152,500 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunitiesare available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
