The Ground Support Engineer is responsible for advising on both the preventative maintenance and technical improvement of aircraft ground support equipment (GSE). They'll develop and communicate technical recommendations to GSE Leadership for equipment issues and trends and will provide support to Mechanics in troubleshooting and providing corrective actions and repairs for equipment. The Ground Support Engineer is a detail-oriented thinker, who is ready to drive initiatives that result in safe, cost-effective, and dependable ground operations.

Responsibilities
- Conduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems
- Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information / updates
- Design detailed technical reports including, but not limited to, schematic diagrams, drawings, and instructions, technical service bulletins, and procedure manuals
- Develop or test models of alternate designs or processing methods to assess feasibility, sustainability, operating condition effects, potential new applications, or necessity of modification
- Disseminate knowledge of equipment modifications by developing and facilitating on-site training to ensure the proper execution of new procedures
- Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports
- Recommend equipment improvements by providing subject matter expertise and initiating creative solutions while working under safety-driven time constraints to increase efficiency and reliability
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
