Job Description:

Job Summary

  • The Manager Crew Resource Planning is responsible for all Resource Planning functions within Flight Operations. This position will oversee the data collection, model construction, and the management of existing models to inform short and long term Pilot staffing and training plans. This position works to ensure alignment across Flight Operations and other departments/interested stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provides friendly service to and maintains positive relationships with all internal and external Customers
  • Works in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our Company
  • Collaborates with Network Planning and the Commercial Teams on future initiatives
  • Works closely with Finance on the costs associated with Crew Staffing and Training Resource plans
  • Leads a team of Analysts on the Crew Staffing and Training Planning related data and supports the development of dashboards and other reports using data visualization tools
  • Identifies deficiencies with current analytics tools/data and develops working plans with Technology to correct these deficiencies
  • Develops staffing plans for hiring, captain upgrades, base staffing, and vacation. Includes all supporting research and documentation
  • Develops Training resource plans for simulators, instructors, check airmen, classrooms, and other flight training devices
  • Drives constant improvement in the Resource Planning process including the exploration of new metrics and the development of new models
  • Supports Labor Relations and the General Counsel with the fulfillment of data requests
  • Partners with Ops. Performance on company-wide programs and other ad-hoc projects
  • Conducts regular 1:1 meetings with Employees and annual performance appraisals to encourage employee development
  • Establishes individual and Team Goals and gives timely and candid feedback to Employees
  • Leads and supports various cross-functional teams to inform Senior Leaders on current Crew issues
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Business Intelligence tools, databases, and optimization tools
  • Skilled in comprehension of written documents including federal regulations, labor contracts and company material
  • Skilled in the creation and conduction of presentations to Executive Leadership, SWAPA and other groups
  • Skilled in using judgment sufficient to handle and resolve complex tasks including many situations that involve conflict resolution
  • Ability to use, understand, and improve complex optimization tools
  • Ability to work well with others as part of a Team
  • Ability to work closely with the Crew Scheduling, Crew Resource Planning, Crew Analytics, and Training Scheduling Teams to identify planning variances and issues
  • Ability to coordinate with Flight Ops Leadership to determine future training and Pilot resource needs

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED


Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading Team(s)
  • Fully functioning broad knowledge in:
  • Crew or Airline Planning
  • Operations Analysis
  • Advanced analytics that includes spreadsheet design, SQL, and data visualization

Physical Abilities

  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job


Other Qualifications

  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed


Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive market salary from $128,350-$142.600* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
