Overall Function:
Coordinates and monitors the daily activities of the residential programming in Southwest Behavioral Care (SBC) and offers support to Mon Valley supportive housing and residential programming. Develops and directs management objectives and assigned supervisory staff. Responsible for the quality of service, as well as development and implementation of new programs.
Essential Functions:
- Provides direction to supervisors in developing, implementing and monitoring client management programs and contracts.
- Establishes goals and objectives, develops services performance standards and evaluates program effectiveness.
- Responsible for agency compliance to all published regulations pertaining to treatment and service operations.
- Ensures the timely preparation of all required documentation, grant applications, renewal proposals, contracts and all other material related to program continuance.
- Provides technical assistance and policy interpretation to supervisors and staff and monitors their effectiveness.
- Serves as the agency representative with the general public, funding sources, other service providers, etc., attending meetings on the agency's behalf to promote the awareness and effectiveness of agency programs.
- Promotes community awareness of program activities.
- Provides oversight of staff training and on-boarding for the residential programs in the SBC corporation, monitoring staff performance to ensure the delivery of quality program related services.
- Functions as a support to affiliate residential programs with the SPHS system.
- Other duties as required.
- Adheres to all policies, laws, regulations and codes of ethics and confidentiality as outlined by federal and state laws, and agency policies and procedures.
- Masters degree in social work or Mental Health related field with a minimum of seven years experience in mental health/developmental disabilities.
- Five years experience in a supervisory or administrative assignment with a demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations governing mental health/developmental disabilities service provision.
- Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid or any other federal health care program.
- Must successfully obtain Criminal History Clearance from the PA State Police, Child Abuse Clearance from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and FBI Fingerprint Clearances.
- Demonstrated ability or willingness to obtain the designated managed care credential of Mental Health Professional.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff.
