Job Description:
The Junior Estimator will support the Lead Estimator in creating accurate project estimates, quotes, and material lists from client drawings and specifications. This role also includes some customer service and sales responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing estimates based on client plans and specifications.
- Help with preparing quotes, schedules, and material lists.
- Provide customer service and assist in selling the company’s services.
- Use company software to input estimates.
- Support the Lead Estimator with various tasks as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma required. Technical courses in construction or an engineering/construction management degree preferred.
- Experience: At least 3 years in the construction trade. Experience in estimating for jobs ranging from $150,000 to $5 million is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction estimating, particularly in Division 3 (Concrete) and Division 4 (Masonry).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and construction software like Planswift, Bluebeam, and Adobe.
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and work independently.
- Strong math skills for accurate material and labor estimates.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $76,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
