Primary Responsibilities
The Heavy Equipment Operations Assistant will be responsible for:
- Communicating with drivers and operators to identify potential problems and implement solutions
- Diagnosing equipment failures and determining necessary repairs or replacements
- Documenting and recording all work performed and parts used
- Collaborating with shop managers and other team members to prioritize work schedules and minimize downtime
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficient operations
Background Requirements
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and physical examination
- Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record
- ASE Certification (Preferred)
- Experience working with heavy equipment, particularly dump trucks and mixers (Preferred)
- Ability to travel as needed and work flexible hours, including days, nights, and weekends
