Southwest Construction Services is a Texas-based construction company founded in 1993. We specialize in Sawing, Waterproofing, Concrete, Architectural Flooring, & Demolition. Southwest Construction is seeking a Sales/Project Manager to join our Decorative Concrete team in Concrete Preservation.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing sales and project execution from initial client contact through project completion. The ideal applicant will have a strong understanding of decorative concrete products and installation processes, with the ability to build relationships, manage project timeline, and ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal applicant will also have a strong work ethic, organizational skills, and a desire to be a team player.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities and grow the client base within the decorative concrete market
- Present product offerings and decorative concrete solutions to clients, addressing their needs and project goals
- Develop prospect lists and geographically organize prospects
- Build relationships with customers (i.e., breakfast, lunch, dinner, happy hours, etc.) – expenses to be reimbursed twice a month after approval from manager
- Achieve assigned sales quota on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Able to take calls to facilitate appointments, call prospects and customers, close sales, proposal preparation, and follow ups
- Manage ongoing projects, budget setups, overseeing work, ASIs, RFIs, change orders, weekly job-site meetings, etc.
- Attend weekly meetings: 6 face-to-face, 20 proposal follow ups, 3-5 request for proposals (RFPs)
- Attend company functions when required (out of town, evening, early morning, weekend, overnight stays, etc.)
- Attend any training provided or furnished by the company
- Assist with production, estimating, and accounting departments as necessary for sold projects (i.e., management, contracts, change orders, collections, etc.)
- Assist other departments as necessary on sold projects
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales and project management, preferably within the decorative concrete or construction industry
- Polish/Resinous knowledge/experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and CRM software.
- Able to navigate takeoff software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree is preferred
- 5 years of relevant experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
