Position Summary
The Journeyman is responsible for performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Maintains a safe work site and work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
· Conducts regular safety checks and ensures that all team members are following safety guidelines.
· Manages all production tasks for oneself and assigned helpers or apprentices, ensuring timely and quality completion of work.
· Oversees wire pulling, conduit installation, and other electrical tasks, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
· Works independently with little to no guidance, demonstrating self-management and problem-solving skills.
· Effectively manages the workflow and productivity of oneself and the assigned helper/apprentice.
· Provides updates on project status and communicates any issues that may impact timelines or quality.
· Contacts customers to schedule jobs and oversees work load of crews.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
· This role has indirect supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent required or Trade/Technical/Business School.
· 3-5 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
· Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and processes with governing entities.
· Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively.
· Proficient in reading blueprints and job specifications.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members and management.
Preferred Qualifications
· Ability to use software basic software systems including Microsoft Suite as well as Bluebeam & Adobe Pro.
· Journeyman license recommended, OSHA 10 certified, NFPA Hot Work trained, and first aid certified.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
