Position Summary: Clinton Public Schools is seeking a dedicated, passionate, and certified Elementary Teacher for a potential opening in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment where all students are empowered to reach their full academic, social, and emotional potential. The teacher will plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in accordance with Oklahoma Academic Standards, district curriculum, and the specific needs of the students in their assigned grade level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Instructional Planning & Delivery:
- Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans across all core subject areas (Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies).
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
- Differentiate instruction to provide appropriate support and challenge for all learners, including students with disabilities and English language learners.
- Classroom Management & Environment:
- Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies and routines consistent with school-wide expectations.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
- Assessment & Data Analysis:
- Administer various forms of student assessments (formative, summative, diagnostic) to monitor progress, guide instruction, and evaluate learning.
- Analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions and interventions.
- Maintain accurate and complete student records, including attendance, grades, and progress reports, as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively and regularly with students, parents/guardians, administrators, and colleagues regarding student progress, classroom activities, and school events.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, support staff, and administration to enhance the instructional program and support student success.
- Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school committees as assigned.
- Professional Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all Clinton Public Schools policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Stay current with developments in curriculum, instruction, assessment, and educational best practices.
- Supervise students during non-instructional times (e.g., lunch, recess, hallways) as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal or district administration.
