FULL TIME - 4 DAY WORK WEEK, 10 HOUR WORK DAY
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Tech I / Painter is responsible for providing painting services for the facility. This position is subject to call backs during emergency conditions such as severe weather, evacuation and post-disaster. The Painter respectfully interacts with all residents, family members, visitors, colleagues and staff. This is a safety sensitive position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Provides outstanding customer service by ensuring that residents and their families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere, which recognizes the individual’s needs and rights.
- Prepares a variety of surfaces for painting using the most appropriate methods.
- Prepares estimates of material, time and cost for each job.
- Purchases and mixes the appropriate type of paint, lacquer, shellac, etc. for each job.
- Paints surfaces in the accordance with safety and cleanliness guidelines and direction of the Director.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Pressure washes, cleans building and sidewalk surfaces.
- Completes drywall and vinyl wallcovering repairs.

- Standing for long periods of time

Work is conducted primarily in health care facility and its surrounding grounds. The occupational exposure for this position is category 1. This position involves a wide variety of environmental and atmospheric conditions. This position frequently requires working within strict deadlines, under stressful conditions and with a variety of personalities, who may at times be emotional.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- Good organizational skills
