- POSITION INFORMATION
- Position summary:
- Provides direct and indirect services to the surgical patient under the supervision of the professional nurse and performs tasks as necessary for the efficient and effective functioning of the operating room, as well as the delivery of quality of care.

- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology with exposure to suturing, or graduate from an accredited surgical first assisting program.
Required length and type of experience:- Minimum one year experience as a surgical assistant.
Required licensure, certification or registry:- Certified in surgical technology (CST or CORT), or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) preferred.
