POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the overall operations of the clinical/business and support services for Hospice Services. The Clinical Manager is responsible for the development, coordination and monitoring of activities that promote clinically effective and efficient patient care. Responsible for the planning, organization and direction of patient care activities in their department/unit(s). Demonstrates leadership competencies and values through development and coaching of direct reports. Promotes succession planning. Monitors employee retention, recruitment and satisfaction. Consults and collaborates with behavioral health providers and other health care team members to provide safe appropriate patient care. Ensures a culture of accountability. Demonstrates the ability to problem solve. Leads by vision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current licensure by Ohio State Board of Nursing. Bachelor’s degree required.
Required length of experience:
- Five (5) years previous experience in an acute care setting.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience as a nursing leader.
- Prefer previous experience in hospice, palliative care or oncology preferred.
Required licensure, certification, and/or registry:
- Current license by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
- CPR certification required.
- Prefer national certification in hospice and palliative care or oncology.
