THE CHALLENGE
This role is responsible for managing and processing payroll, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of payroll systems, employer taxes, and payroll-related compliance, along with excellent analytical skills. THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize Workday system to process bi-weekly payroll, including on-cycle/off-cycle, bonuses, and termination pay, ensuring adherence to pay state laws and IRS regulations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of garnishments and multi-state payroll experience.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly to employees and/or Managers.
- Prepare Payroll and/or Time and Attendance reports and/or queries.
- Assist Managers/Employees with Workday Time and Attendance timesheet inquires, timesheet errors, submission deadlines.
- Create and maintain SOPs as needed for current and new processes.
- Assist with year-end payroll processes and reporting.
- Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
THE PROFILE TO SUCCEED
- Associate/Bachelors degree in HR Management, Accounting, Finance, or 3 years of experience in payroll processing field preferred.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Workday, ADP,) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday, ADP experience
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing and taxes.
- Familiarity with benefits administration and payroll tax filings.

THE WORK ENVIRONMENT
In this role requires the ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Currently the corporate offices run on a hybrid in-office work schedule; Tuesday thru Thursdays in Office, Mondays and Fridays there is the option to work remotely. The position functions in a smoke and vape free professional office environment. The role routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as laptop computer, phone, and scanner/photocopier.
