The Fountain Valley Facility is a 240 MW simple cycle, natural gas-fired, peaking facility with a PPA with PSCo to 2032. The plant is located in Fountain, Colorado. Adjacent to the Fountain Valley Facility is 145 vacant acres of land for future development.

THE CHALLENGE
Manage the day-to-day administration functions of the plant location. The position requires a high level of customer service, problem solving, and the ability to professionally handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrated understanding of standard concepts, practices & procedures of accounting/bookkeeping principles.
- Process invoices/purchase orders for transfer to accounts payable, including data entry as necessary. Receive management approval (Req.), process purchase order, confirm received parts/inventory, post invoice, process payment (onsite Accounts Payable), update vendor file.
- Perform monthly inventory audits and report findings to accounting
- Manage corporate credit card: confirm spending, process vouchers, post into accounting system; print monthly reconciliation report, and process monthly payments.
- General knowledge of accounting and understanding of the general ledger coding and accounts.
- Manage the purchase of general office/breakroom supplies ensuring consistent inventory and maintain general office professional appearance.
- Oversee front door activity to include mail/courier, deliveries, greeting visitors.
- Answer telephone calls and monitor general inbox e-mails and direct to relevant staff.
- Generate office correspondence, reports, and PowerPoint presentation decks.
- Maintain an organized and accurate filing system for vendor data, plant information, facility permits, compliance records including maintaining confidential files and information (i.e. employee Safety training records/OSHA recordables).
- Interact with all levels of the organization providing support (and confidentiality) as required.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings and conferences.
- May be required to support job responsibilities as needed outside of scheduled work hours.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Other duties as assigned.
THE PROFILE TO SUCCEED
- Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and make sound decisions.
- High School degree or equivalent is required. Associate Degree preferred. Experience may substitute for degree.
- At least 1-3 years of substantive relevant experience preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Knowledge of WorkDay, Great Plains, Visio, SharePoint a plus.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Functional experience with Mpulse, Maximo and GP Dynamics accounting systems is preferred, although not required.
- Keen multi-tasking capabilities, flexibility, and organizational skills; attention to detail.
- Strong customer (internal and external) centric focus.
- Strong, creative problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- General research skills a plus.
- Willingness to pitch-in where needed, and ability to learn on-the-fly.
- Maintain the highest standards of conduct and integrity in all dealings with or on behalf of Onward Energy at all levels inside and outside the organization.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
- Valid U.S. Driver license with acceptable MVR history, if applicable.
THE PHYSICAL DEMANDS
