Job Overview
Crisis Case Manager shall have the degree of education necessary to fulfill the specific job tasks listed below. Experience working with children who have a Severe Emotional Disturbance (SED) or Adults with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) are preferred
Minimum Education: either a bachelor’s degree in a human services field or an associate’s degree in a human service field plus at least 2 years’ experience in a mental health setting or equivalent of years of experience in the human service field to years of education.
Key Areas of Responsibility:All Crisis Case Manager staff shall devote a majority of time to the direct crisis response of SED Children or SPMI Adults. The remainder of time shall be devoted to treatment planning, documentation, clinical responsibilities, and general administrative duties. A guideline for each possible aspect of assigned roles and duties is as follows:
Essential Knowledge and Skills regardless of role assigned
Demonstrates understanding and respect of confidentiality with regard to consumer, family and/or employee information
Demonstrates effective time management skills as evidenced by being able to work independently
Demonstrates efficient use of electronic medical record (Credible) and other computer applications (i.e. Microsoft Word)
Demonstrates understanding of SWGC policy and procedure
Ability to show empathy when working with adult or child consumers and their families
Completes clinical documentation in a timely fashion to standard
Completes administrative documentation in a timely fashion to standard
Demonstrates knowledge of relevant federal, state and local laws related to protected health information and mandatory reporting
Demonstrate knowledge of Medicaid guidelines, Evidence-Based Practices, and Program Fidelity
Demonstrates knowledge and use of appropriate crisis intervention services to standard
Maintains clear KBI, KDADS Adult and Child Abuse and Neglect Checks
Maintains a valid and insurable driver’s license with a clear MVR
Linking and coordinating of services within the ACT Model
Maintains MANDT certification
Other duties as assigned
Ability to work with various community agencies
Demonstrate attention to detail
Work autonomously as well as within a team

Pay: $55,068.00 per year
