TEACHER ASSISTANT

Salary: Based on education (Minimum salary $11.42 per hr.)

Job Duties Include: Assist Head Start Teacher in carrying out a program of instruction for a pre-school classroom of up to 20 children, serve as teacher in absence of regular Teacher, make home visits, encourage parent involvement, and work with other staff concerning enrollment and meeting the needs of families.
Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required; a Child Development Associate Credential preferred; Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred: experience/training in working with preschool children desired; must be willing to continue education. Basic computer knowledge. Must pass physical exam, drug screen, and criminal/fingerprint background check.
Work schedule - 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 5 days per week
80 hrs. biweekly. / 40 weeks (10 mo.)
