Description : Summary
Manage daily operations activities through a team of managers and supervisors to ensure increasing levels of efficiency, production and organization at Southwest Iowa Renewable Energy.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
In collaboration with department managers, optimize team structure, define roles / responsibilities, and create a culture of accountability.
Monitor key performance indicators and schedule corrective actions to meet production, efficiency and quality goals.
In collaboration with Director of Operations, recommend purchases of new equipment and improvements to plant property.
In collaboration with the Engineering Manager, coordinate continuous improvement projects as needed.
Keep up-to-date on strategy and technology affecting business to drive innovation and ensure compliance.
Gather details to thoughtfully contribute to improvement exercises such as, but not limited to, root cause analyses, process hazard assessments, and management of change.

Requirements : Qualifications
Ability to use technology tools to drive objective, data-driven decision making.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline required. MBA or advanced degree a plus.
5 years or more of plant operations and / or management experience.
General proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other applicable computer software packages, as needed.
Thorough knowledge of ethanol production, industrial bioprocessing, petrochemical, agro-industrial, heavy industry or other related experience.
Knowledge of DCS instrumentation or electrical background preferred.
