Summary
Coordinates the operations of the ethanol plant, including overseeing production. Manage plant site during shift, including supervision of plant operators.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Safety: Promote and ensure safety in the workplace.
- Employee Training: Follow the plan for the development and training of employees.
- Communicate employee issues that may require management attention, including disciplinary actions.
- Overall Operations Knowledge: ensure understanding of all aspects of production at the facility the coordinator will demonstrate the requirement for cooperation and teamwork.
- Regularly lead and participate in team and one-on-one meetings.
- Ensure production metrics are communicated on a timely basis.
- Audit and review all SOPs. Train operators with plant SOPs.
- Maintain optimum quality and consistency of products produced by the plant.
- Demonstrate cost and quality consciousness in decisions.
- Coordinate workforce scheduling as needed to meet fluctuating demands, and coverage needs.
- Evaluate performance and participate in the development of team members.
- Coordinate production personnel during shift.
- Provide feedback, corrective actions and training to accomplish the shift assignments.
- Coordinate to facilitate personnel complete required training and meet performance requirements for all positions.
- Perform other duties as assigned and recognize that priorities can and will shift quickly to adjust to the demands of other departments for the overall benefit of the plant.
- Wear personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications
- Ability to effectively manage, motivate and train others.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
- Computer literacy required.
- Ability to learn technical procedures using Company-provided computer equipment.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Prior ethanol production experience is preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
