Position Summary
SouthWest Landscape, Inc. is seeking a driven and experienced Tree Care Manager to oversee and grow our professional tree care division. With support from a Tree Care Supervisor, the Manager will be accountable for all aspects of the division’s performance—including operations, safety, financial results, and client satisfaction. This is a leadership position with a clear directive to scale the division sustainably and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
Division Oversight & Growth
- Lead day-to-day operations of the Tree Care Division, ensuring high-quality service delivery and professionalism in all client interactions.
- Partner with the Grow Team and client service teams to drive new business and deepen existing relationships.
- Provide direction, support, and accountability to the Tree Care Supervisor and field crew.
Financial & Strategic Management
- Own the division’s profit and loss performance, including revenue forecasting, cost management, and job costing accuracy.
- Execute annual growth goals aligned with company-wide initiatives.
- Review and complete estimates and proposals to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
Operational Execution
- Implement efficient scheduling, resource allocation, and equipment management procedures.
- Ensure all work aligns with ANSI A300 standards and company protocols.
- Coordinate with internal departments to support cross-functional workflows and project delivery.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote a strong safety culture in alignment with company values and industry best practices.
- Conduct routine site audits, safety meetings, and corrective training as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and maintain required documentation.
Qualifications
- ISA Certified Arborist, or ability to obtain within the first year of employment (required).
- 5 years of professional experience in arboriculture, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Proven knowledge of tree care operations including pruning, removals, risk assessments, and disease diagnosis.
- Strong leadership, team development, and communication skills.
- Proficient in budgeting, estimating, and financial oversight.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
