SWL is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic STEAM Camp Teachers to join our team this summer! If you love sparking curiosity and helping young minds explore the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM), then we want you on board!
About STEAM Camp:
Our STEAM Camp is an action-packed program designed to ignite creativity and problem-solving skills in students in grades 1-5. The theme this year is ROBOTICS. Campers will embark on a hands-on learning adventure with activities that integrate all areas of STEAM, including:
- Science experiments and exploration
- Coding challenges and robotics workshops
- Creative writing workshops and storytelling
- Art and design projects with a STEAM twist
- Math games and puzzles that make learning fun
- And much more!
Responsibilities of a STEAM Camp Teacher:
- Develop and deliver engaging and age-appropriate STEAM curriculum that integrates all subject areas.
- Lead interactive learning activities, experiments, and projects.
- Foster a love of learning and encourage exploration in all STEAM fields.
- Supervise campers and ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive camp environment.
- Collaborate with other camp staff to ensure a seamless program experience.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of STEAM concepts and their integration.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead engaging and interactive lessons.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for learning.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
