Description
As field service technician for Southwest JCB you will be an integral member of our service department. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical and electrical knowledge and be responsible for repairing and maintaining JCB equipment and various other types of Heavy Equipment while exemplifying the highest customer service standards.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain customer, vendor and peer relationships
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery such as, but not limited to: excavators, skid steer loaders, compact track loaders, telehandlers, and wheel loaders
- Perform quality maintenance, diagnosis, disassemble, inspect, perform rebuilds and reassemble all components or equipment (i.e., engines, power trains, hydraulics, fuel systems, electrical codes, etc.). This may include failure analysis as required.
- Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Troubleshoot and repair attachments such as, hammers, buckets, augers, planers, etc.
- Read and interpret parts diagrams and technical drawings, including both hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Ability to read and understand materials commonly used in the product service and maintenance function (service and parts manuals, technical bulletins, and other related articles).
- Complete all paperwork in an accurate and timely manner, such as, work orders, parts requisition paperwork, timecards, etc.
- Perform work in a timely manner in accordance with published repair time schedules.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- A minimum 5 years of experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment
- Stick welding experience preferred.
- MSHA certification preferred
- Computer literate with the ability to process information
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate, prioritize and maintain time management
- Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision
- Trained and certified to operate equipment and forklifts.
- Physically able to perform duties and lift to 75lbs.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality
- Maintain a great attitude toward work
- Adheres to company policies, procedures and practices as required.
- Acceptable driving record
- A history of safe work habits
- A high school diploma or GED and basic math skills
