What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist position at Southwest Medical Center?
Job Description: The duties and responsibilities of the phlebotomist include, but not limited to the assessing and reassessing of patients prior to and following the collection of blood and body fluid. Collection practices and techniques are directed by established departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent, Certified Phlebotomist preferred. Preferred six (6) months of previous experience in phlebotomy, but not required. Ability to withstand stressful situations both physically and emotionally will be required.
