- Two years of study at an institution of higher education (60 college credits) OR an Associate degree (or higher) OR the successful completion of the Paraeducator training and assessments,
- The ability to obtain the PCA/CFSS certificate.
- Experience working with students with significant disabilities is preferred, but not required.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) required. Training is offered by the school district.
- Must pass a background check.

Description:
Special Education Paraprofessional, 7 hours a day for 183 Contract Days.Efficiently and effectively assist in providing a well-organized, smoothly functioning program in a special education setting while working under the supervision of a supervising teacher. Performs support work assisting students in meeting educational, communication, emotional, physical and behavioral goals of special needs students. Works Individually or in small groups.
Job Summary:
Provide support by working directly with students to increase their academic, social/behavioral, communication, and study skills under the direction of the teacher(s).
