Greeter / Front Desk Receptionist position
Essential Functions:
- Model and promote the organization’s mission, values, and guiding principles through positive attitude, appropriate appearance, words, and actions; and comply with the organization’s policies and procedures.
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service to all members and guests.
- Answer phones and directs calls to appropriate departments.
- Maintain a familiar knowledge of and respond to general inquiries regarding programs and events.
- Perform administrative, clerical and office tasks in support of the organization.
- Obtains necessary registration information from members and program participants and processes payments. Ensures information is relayed to the appropriate department.
- Help keep the Front Office tidy and presentable, ensuring supplies are always on hand and accessible to staff. Replenish printed forms and informational flyers.
- Sort through and distribute daily mail to staff mailboxes and process incoming payments and registrations.
- Help prepare and process outgoing mass marketing mailings
- Effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- May be assigned other tasks and duties reasonably related to their job responsibilities.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Employee must have the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
- Employee must have the ability to handle, manipulate, or control objects with hands and fingers
- Employee must have the ambulatory ability to stand, walk, sit, and reach for objects
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
- Employee must have visual acuity, including close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust vision focus
- Employee must have the ability to focus and work efficiently in an environment with moderate noise level
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part time position. Days and hours are generally Monday - Thursday 3 - 8PM, Friday 10 - 3. Flexibility for shift changes/weekends a bonus.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent degree
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must be detail oriented and able to function and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Fundamentals of Microsoft Windows and a functional understanding of virtual file management.
- Basic overall knowledge of Microsoft Office software with proficiency demonstrated in specific programs deemed critical to achieving performance goals.
- Ability to use all mail processing equipment; able to complete bulk mailings for post offices; label, collate and stuff mailings, as needed.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
- Experience using common office equipment.
