What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survivor Mentor position at Southwest Network Company Brand?
OVERVIEW OF POSITION
Supports Southwest Network’s initiatives in the identification of survivors or those at risk of becoming victims of human trafficking. Assists with outreach for all human trafficking referrals and will help with screening and identification of survivors of human trafficking. Provides support and intervention to survivors, and advocates for resources and services for the benefit of all Southwest Network survivors of human trafficking. Provides training and technical assistance to staff and others.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in a field related or similar to behavioral health; a bachelor’s degree in a non-related field and one-year related experience; an associate degree in any field and one-year related experience; or a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and three years related experience.
- One (1) year experience and/or specialized training in victim assistance, crisis intervention or victim advocacy required.
- Five (5) years’ experience working with victims of sexual violence, sexual exploitation, human trafficking (sex or labor) or other form of trauma required.
- Must maintain current CPR, First Aid and Therapeutic Options certifications.
- Must maintain a valid Arizona state fingerprint clearance card.
- Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
