We are looking for a Settlements Analyst who will support the testing of new settlement products or enhancements, assist in the development and implementation of settlement processes, and work collaboratively to improve our settlement systems.
Overview
We are looking for a Settlements Analyst to support the testing of new settlement products or enhancements and assist in developing and implementing procedures to support the market or transmission settlement process. This role is key to ensuring the effectiveness of testing processes, driving efficiency improvements, and resolving issues through strong problem-solving skills.
The ideal candidate will have several years of experience with the SDLC process in software testing, a strong ability to analyze and solve complex problems, and effective documentation skills. Experience with AI tools to improve testing efficiency is a plus. The Settlements Analyst will assist in the development, enhancement, and support of market and transmission settlement functions, including revenue collection, distribution, reconciliation, and ongoing analysis.
This position will also involve supporting the Supervisor of Settlements, Manager of Settlements, Director of Settlements, and other SPP subcommittees and working groups. Collaboration with various stakeholders is essential to ensure the success of the settlement process.

- Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues during the testing and implementation phases.
- Create test cases, conduct testing, and document results to ensure accuracy and functionality of new features and updates.
- Contribute to functional design development for software releases related to market settlements.
- Assist in the analysis and reconciliation of market and transmission settlement data to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Provide support to internal and external stakeholders by answering questions, providing updates, and facilitating the resolution of issues.
To be successful as our Settlement Analyst, we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree (Two years of relevant job-related experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement)
- Settlement Analyst Sr- Six (6) years of job-related experience (in addition to degree requirement above)
- Settlement Analyst III - Four (4) years of job-related experience (in addition to degree requirement above)
- Settlement Analyst II - Two (2) years of job-related experience (in addition to degree requirement above)
- Settlement Analyst I - No experience required
- Bachelor's degree
- A background in market or transmission settlements, revenue collection, and reconciliation processes (preferred).
- Several years of experience working in software testing, preferably within the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) process.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues related to market settlements.
- Experience creating test cases, conducting testing, and documenting results.
- Familiarity with AI tools or technologies that can drive efficiencies in the testing process (preferred).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively document processes and collaborate with others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, supporting cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
