Objectives of this Role:
- Provide support for software licensing and approvals in an enterprise software lifecycle setting. This primarily includes, but not limited to, MS Windows and may also include Apple Mac and Linux platforms.
- Review End User License Agreements for software requested to assure compliance with standards.
- Review for technical compatibility with the SwRI computing environment.
- Coordinate the updating and patching of software for vulnerability remediation and compliance to standards.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- As part of the Software Lifecycle team, review and approve Microsoft and 3rd party software for use within SwRI.
- Maintain and track software licenses using established systems in SwRI.
- Coordinate the updating and patching of software for vulnerability remediation and compliance to standards in a Microsoft environment.
Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related degree field with 3 years experience , In lieu of a BS degree 6 years professional experience and technical Certifications such as Azure Certified Administrator, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification
- 3 years: General IT infrastructure administration experience in a Microsoft Windows physical, virtual, and cloud based secure enterprise environment to include workstations, servers, and other devices.
- 2 years: Management and administration of software licensing in a primarily MS Windows environment including Microsoft and other 3rd party software. Ability to understand licensing models and how they relate to the organization.
- 1 years: Coordination of vulnerability remediation. Ability to assess vulnerabilities in a Microsoft environment.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
