Who We Are : The Strategic Aerospace Department Office of the Director provides guidance and direction to a multi-disciplinary team of engineers that provides cutting edge engineering development services to the USAF. This position has the option of being a fully remote in the following states : AL, AZ, AR, Dis. of Columbia, FL, GA, MA, MD, MI, MN, NH, NC, OH, OK, OR, TX, UT, VA, WV only. The alternate work location is San Antonio, Tx.Objectives of this Role : Develop advanced proven Physics-based AI / ML algorithms / models.Support innovating / cutting edge research in the areas of AI as applied to Systems and or UAS / Avionics subsystems.Be the system architect for AI development.Work with multidisciplinary staff (scientists, analysists and engineers) to delivery cutting edge AI solutions to programs.Write proposals, articles, and attend conferences.Daily and Monthly Responsibilities : Develop Solutions for AI systems and embedded Avionics systems and subsystems.Develop Solutions for Aircraft AI / ML sensor fusion.Review AI / ML algorithms to verify / validate it meets integrated design requirements.Monitor all AI progress on projects and research.Integrate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to develop AI related hardware.Requirements : Requires a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Systems Engineering, Physics or directly related degree field with a focus on UAS, Avionics, AI, and or Machine Learning.2 years : Machine Learning as applied to Data Science and technology.2 years : Developing AI and other software in Python, Tensor Flow, Keras, PyTorch.2 years : Developing firmware.A valid / clear driver's license is required.
