Objectives of this Role:
- Successfully contribute to the design and implementation of FPGA-based solutions for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Apply innovative thinking and problem-solving skills to address design challenges and optimize FPGA implementations.
- Assist in developing comprehensive testbenches and verification environments for FPGA designs.
- Ensure seamless integration of FPGA designs with other system components, supporting overall project success.
- Summer 2025 or year-round student opportunity.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and debugging HDL (Verilog/VHDL) code based on project requirements per design specifications.
- Assist in developing and running simulations to verify the functionality and performance of FPGA designs.
- Use testbenches to validate code against expected outputs and performance metrics.
- Assist in maintaining detailed documentation of the design process, code changes, and testing procedures.
- Perform in-lab radio frequency integration tests of FPGA components with other modules in the system.
- Attend formal design review meetings to present FPGA designs and receive feedback.
Requirements:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- 0 years: Preferred coursework in Digital Logic Design, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Signal Processing, or Electronics.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
