Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Storage Manager to oversee our storage operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring efficient storage practices. Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 8am -5pm.
Duties
- Manage daily operations of the storage facility, ensuring optimal organization and efficiency.
- Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive work environment while promoting teamwork.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, pricing strategies, and product rotation.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain financial records related to storage operations.
- Implement effective shift management practices to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
- Utilize retail math skills to analyze sales trends and adjust inventory accordingly.
- Recruit and onboard new team members as needed to support operational needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a retail or storage environment.
- Strong understanding of cash handling procedures and retail math principles.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in using cash registers and other point-of-sale systems.
- Strong leadership qualities with a focus on team development and performance improvement.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the operational needs of the facility.
