RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives, providing ongoing support for HR-related matters.
- Influence and drive positive organizational change while proactively resolving employee relations issues.
- Streamline and improve HR processes, including communication, stay and exit surveys, and new hire procedures.
- Provide expert HR guidance to managers and employees on performance management, employee relations, leadership development, and conflict resolution.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to develop targeted solutions, policies, and programs.
- Manage complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations and solutions that align with company values.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies, collaborating with the legal team when necessary.
- Foster a positive workplace culture to enhance morale, productivity, and employee retention.
- Provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational restructuring.
- Identify training needs and recommend development initiatives for business units and executives.
- Evaluate training programs to ensure alignment with business goals and employee growth.
- Work with HR team to develop and implement HR policies and practices that enhance employee engagement.
- Use HR data to identify trends and implement solutions to improve the employee experience.
- Collaborate with talent acquisition and team members to create a culture of engagement and high performance.
- Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or other business-related field of study or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of progressive HR experience, PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws, HR policies and best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Previous recruiting experience filling a variety of positions required.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational analysis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Proved ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English required
PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.
The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit areas where it is required. This includes a hard hat, safety glasses, life vest, respirators, ear plugs, steel-toe shoes, personal flotation devices (PFD’s), or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and the location the work is being done.
In addition, Employees in this position must also be capable of:
- Walking, stepping, climbing, or otherwise moving from one location on the job site to another, which may be of varying heights and access parameters.
- Standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, squatting, climbing, crawling, or sitting for long periods of time.
- Repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, and back in the performance of work.
- Climbing stairs and/or vertical ladders of varying heights.
- Working in confined work areas and elevated heights.
- Lifting objects of a minimum of 10 lbs., with a maximum single-person lift limit of 50 lbs., frequent lifting, and carrying.
- Adapting to temperature changes, outdoor conditions, prolonged exposure to dusty, wet, or humid conditions, loud noises, and vibration.
- Visually inspecting equipment and verifying information, often in small print.
- Driving and/or operating heavy machinery safely and always alert and aware of surroundings.
- Applying sideways/upward/downward pressure to tighten and loosen hardware.
