Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Therapeutic Massage Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in orthopedic physical therapy and chronic pain management. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with other medical professionals to provide comprehensive care and improve the quality of life for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform therapeutic massage techniques tailored to the needs of patients with orthopedic conditions and chronic pain.
- Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate massage therapy interventions.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment for patients.
- Adhere to all state regulations and clinic policies regarding massage therapy practices.
Qualifications:
- Valid and current Massage Therapy License in the state of New Mexico.
- Certification in therapeutic massage with a focus on orthopedic physical therapy and chronic pain management.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a therapeutic massage therapist, preferably in a clinical or orthopedic setting.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology as they relate to massage therapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering high-quality care.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with a variety of massage techniques, including deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and sports massage.
- Knowledge of additional therapeutic modalities is a plus.
- Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) are advantageous but not required.
