What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner Pain Management Part Time position at Southwest Sports and Spine?
We are looking for a motivated, bright, personable Certified Nurse Practitioner to join our single-specialty, Pain Management practice that is expanding to meet current demand in our community.
Patient care includes physical assessment, exam, formulation of care plans, new patient intakes, patient follow-ups, ordering, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests results such as imaging, etc., review and maintenance of records, patient education, referrals for consults to in-house interventional specialists, when appropriate, to minimize medication management and optimize quality patient care.
Our management position consists of 100% Pain Management with both evaluations and interventional procedures such as epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections/medial branch blocks, selective nerve root blocks, sacroiliac injections, trigger point injections, discography, sympathetic blockades, various arthrocentesis, percutaneous discectomy, Radiofrequency ablations, Kyphoplasty as well as, spinal cord stimulator trials.
Candidates should be able to do trigger point injections as well as joint injections. Candidates will be seeing on average 15-20 patients per day.

Requirements Must have current AZ license and unrestricted DEA.
Previous experience in a clinic setting is a plus, however, we are willing to train the qualified candidates that have the ability to work and collaborate in a team-effort environment with other providers, supervisor, and ancillary staff.
For liability reasons, candidates must have the capability to differentiate what to see the patient for here at our clinic and what must be referred back to their primary care physician for acute care purposes. We are looking for caring individuals who are able to set appropriate boundaries with patients in regards to their care.
- Patient hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.
