SUMMARY

success. As an Adult Education Instructor, you will play a crucial role in empowering students—whether they are working
toward a GED/HSED, learning English as a second language, or developing career-ready skills. You will help create
opportunities that lead to better jobs, stronger communities, and brighter futures.
This is a part time, non-benefitted position. The instructor will be scheduled for 20-25 hours per week on-campus at
Southwest Tech in Fennimore, WI.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Assist students in creating personalized student success plans that map their academic and career pathways,
- Teach a diverse group of adult learners, including those preparing for GED/HSED exams and English Language
- Create a welcoming, student-centered classroom that supports different learning styles and life experiences.
- Integrate real-world employment skills such as career assessment, resume writing, interviewing, and workplace
- Support students in setting and achieving their educational and career goals.
- Assess student progress through formal and informal methods and provide constructive feedback.
- Design and adapt curriculum to ensure accessibility for all learners using Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
- Foster a welcoming and respectful learning environment that encourages persistence and success.
- Utilize technology to enhance learning, including computer-aided instruction and online resources.
- Promote continuous quality improvement of curriculum and program operations to increase program effectiveness
- Model the college's Core Abilities.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to FERPA guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.

REAUIRED QUALIFICAITONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary, Secondary, or Adult Education and certification requirements of the Wisconsin
- Two years of classroom instruction experience.
- Understanding of applied academics and integrated curricula.
- Basic knowledge of adult/family support agencies and working with dislocated workers.

- Proficiency in using technology to support instruction.
- Valid WI Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.

SALARY RANGE
Adjunct Hourly: $20.00 - $33.00
