What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cybersecurity and Network Administration Adjunct position at Southwest Technical College?
Southwest Tech is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor(s) to teach the current Cybersecurity and Network Administration degree.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach courses such as Hardware/Software Fundamentals, Introduction to Security, and other related subjects.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans to meet student learning objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field.
- Professional certifications in cybersecurity and network administration.
- Experience teaching adult learners.
Instructional Strategies
Instructors are expected to use a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities. They must be able to adapt their instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and provide feedback to students on their progress.

Term and Schedule
This is a part-time position, with classes taught on a semester basis. Instructors will be required to teach a minimum of 12 credits per semester and may be asked to teach additional courses based on program needs.
