SUMMARY
The Accounting Payable Clerk is responsible for supporting the accounting department with general accounting duties including but not limited to monitoring the outflow of capital for the company.
Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities are a general guideline and not intended to be an exhaustive list of the full scope of responsibilities. Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based on business needs and at managements discretion.
- Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
- Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
- Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Education/Additional Requirements:
- 2-5 years or more of related experience required.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers (written and verbal).
- Familiarity with general accounting practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Capability to learn internal dealership management system
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Experience:
- Accounts payable: 3 years (Required)
- High volume invoices: 3 years (Required)
- Microsoft Excel: 3 years (Required)
