Overall Responsibility:
- Travel to customer sites, represent the company professionally, and ensure equipment is serviced to Southwest ToyotaLift's standards.
Duties:
- Follows company policies (safety, warranty, environmental, etc.)
- Travels to customer locations for installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of batteries, chargers, and handling equipment (flooded & sealed).
- Performs preventative maintenance inspections and records data.
- Interacts with customers and colleagues at all levels.
- Removes, inspects, replaces, and reassembles battery components.
- Fills batteries with acid solution and checks specific gravity.
- Washes, cleans, and neutralizes customer batteries on-site.
- Diagnoses and repairs battery charging equipment.
- Installs, maintains, and repairs battery handling equipment.
- Operates material handling equipment following OSHA standards.
- Installs new equipment and ensures functionality.
- Inspects equipment, diagnoses problems, and recommends solutions.
- Coordinates repairs with technical support, customer service, and sales.
- Provides on-site technical assistance.
- Maintains service records.
- Acts as a communication link between customer and company.
- Develops and conducts safety training for equipment operation.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Communication & Skills:
- Professional communication with customers (in-house & on-site).
- Troubleshooting mechanical issues and writing clear reports.

Qualifications:
- Associate's degree (or equivalent) in a related field.
- 3-5 years of industry experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3 year experience servicing motive power equipment (ideally at Southwest ToyotaLift or similar company).
- Excellent driving record.
- Pass background and drug screen checks.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer service focus.
- Willingness to attend technical training classes.
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform various physical tasks repetitively (lifting, bending, climbing).
- Operate power machinery, hand tools, air compressor tools, band saw, grinder, steam cleaner, and parts washers.
- Lift 50 lbs. unaided, with occasional need to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Operate a company vehicle.
