Responsibilities:
Community Engagement & Outreach:
- Identify and reach out to prospective students through in-person and virtual interactions.
- Provide guidance and information about the university's programs, admissions process, and financial aid options.
- Assist in developing targeted outreach strategies to engage non-traditional students, such as working professionals, parents, or individuals seeking career changes.
Event Coordination:
- Plan and execute recruitment events and activities to increase awareness of the university's programs.
- Collaborate with admissions and marketing teams to ensure consistent and effective messaging at events.
- Track participation and gather feedback to improve future outreach efforts.
Relationship Building:
- Establish partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and community colleges to create a pipeline of prospective students.
- Maintain regular communication with prospective students, guiding them through the application and enrollment process.
Reporting & Strategy:
- Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities, contacts, and outcomes.
- Analyze recruitment trends and provide recommendations to enhance recruitment strategies.
- Collaborate with the admissions team to meet or exceed enrollment goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (education, marketing, communications, or business preferred).
- Proven experience in student recruitment, sales, or community engagement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for working with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and attend evening or weekend events as needed.
- Familiarity with non-traditional education models and the unique needs of adult learners is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM software is a bonus.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Represent the university at community events, career fairs, expos, and high school/college fairs.
- Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and prospective students.
- Actively participate in local networking events to enhance visibility and recruit non-traditional students.
