What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Education Speech & Language Assistant position at Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union - Early Ed?
The Early Education Speech & Language Pathology Assistant supports the developing communication needs of children ages 3 to 5. The SLP-A is responsible for implementing, and evaluating Individual Education Programs for the areas of language, hearing, articulation, fluency and voice under the guidance of an SLP. Early Education services are delivered in a range of school and itinerant settings, with an emphasis on collaboration and inclusion.
Early Education Speech & Language Pathology Assistants have access to a wide array of professional development opportunities and materials including; high and low tech AAC, audiology equipment and educational supplies. Travel reimbursement is included with itinerant placements as well as scheduled time for collaboration and consultation. Coaching and support provided by district SLP's as well as outside consultants.
