Job Description:
We are seeking a Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented with a strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to work both independently and as an integral part of a team.
Responsibilities:
·Greet visitors loudly in a friendly manner
·Answer incoming phone calls in a professional manner and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
·Answering questions from visitors in a friendly manner.
·Maintain reception area cleanliness and organize files, charts etc. according to schedule.
·Check incoming e-mail for accuracy and forward accordingly.
·Monitor all office equipment such as printers, copiers, fax machines etc., and report any issues or malfunctioning to appropriate personnel.
·Maintain office filing system such as filing cabinets, filing cabinets drawers etc., according to cleanliness standards set by the company.
·Perform other duties as assigned by management or supervisor.
Must be able to learn common veterinary terms and have confidence in reading animal's behavior.
Must be comfortable with situations considered uncomfortable to some ie requesting deposits prior to services, discussing euthanasia, handling upset customers
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required) GED (Preferred)
- Ability to learn new skills quickly (Required)
- Ability to prioritize tasks (Preferred)
- Attention to detail (Required)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Rotating weekends
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
Work Location: In person
