Behavioral Health Supervisor – Meadowview
Duties:
Works as part of an integrated medical team of health professionals in a primary care setting. Provides individual and family brief and long term therapy for behaviors related to chronic health conditions as well as serious mental illnesses. Provides consultation to primary care providers regarding patients’ behavioral health to include screening, assessment, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Telehealth and in person services with one work day from home. Supervises BH Care Manager.
Skills:
- Skills in evidenced based behavioral health assessment, treatment and crisis intervention.
- Ability to effectively communicate behavioral health issues with other treatment team members, patients, and families.
- Skill in preparing and maintaining patient records and to confidentially manage patient information.
Ability to use independent judgment.
Requirements:
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in the health care setting.
- Licensed mental health practitioner certified to practice by the Virginia Board of Health Professionals (ie. LCSW, Psychologist, LPC. May consider Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology seeking licensure.)
- Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence based treatments for medical and mental health conditions.
- Must be qualified in Basic Life Support techniques and CPR.
