Dental Assistant (Tazewell)
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help provide quality dental care to our patients.
## Responsibilities
– Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures
– Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures
– Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients
– Provide post-operative instructions prescribed by the dentist
– Sterilize and maintain dental instruments
– Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
## Qualifications
– Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control
– Experience in dental assisting, including four-handed dentistry
– Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation
– Ability to take accurate vital signs
– Familiarity with dental terminology and pediatric dentistry is a plus
– Competency in using Epic or similar electronic health record systems
– Understanding of medical imaging procedures
