Dentist (Tazewell)
Job Summary
Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems (SVCHS) is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice in Tazewell, VA . SVCHS is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to providing Southern West Virginia, Southwest Virginia, and Northeast Tennessee with top-quality whole-person care, regardless of ability to pay. The ideal candidate for this position will provide high-quality dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their treatment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a dedicated team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive oral examinations and diagnose dental conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, crowns, and root canals.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure efficient patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and maintain a clean, safe environment in the dental office.
Experience
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with medical records management systems such as eCW.
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry is essential.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
