Hillcrest is currently seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to be our next Director of Nursing making $31.00 per hour. This position will work primarily with our residential youth but will also be a valuable member of the overall leadership team with normal work days of Monday through Friday.

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?
- Provide clinical services to assigned residents.
- Conduct all required physical health screenings for residents during the required timeframe.
- Make referrals as necessary.
- Serve as professional nursing link between patient and physicians, pharmacist, case managers, therapists, youth care workers and other care providers.
- Provide education to residents and staff regarding physical needs, medications, wellness and safety.
- Dispense and administer medication when needed.
- Assess patient compliance and response to medication. Maintain secure storage and appropriate documentation of medication.
- Provide and assist in ongoing trainings as needed
- Monitor medication errors.
- Provide needed therapeutic emergency interventions and protection for individuals who are in crisis.
- Maintain TB administration certification.
- Administer TB tests to staff annually as well as residents.
- Provide nutritional training to all staff and residents as needed.
- Schedule and attend necessary medical appointments for residents.
- Participate in treatment team meetings.
- Participate in Health & Safety meetings.
- Responsible for supervision of RN/LPN/Chief Medical Officer
WHAT'S REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?
- Current, valid State of Indiana Registered Nursing license required.
- SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Complete and maintain certification as a TB administrator.
- Willingness to assist with on call while being paid an additional per diem
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have knowledge of relevant clinical issues and demonstrable clinical expertise for resident population served.
- Obtain and maintain CPR certification
- Must meet requirements as identified by State Licensing regulations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology; excellent grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- Requires exceptional customer service and phone etiquette; excellent communication skills; attention to detail; ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow; skill to act independently and quickly when necessary.
- Must have valid driver's license, and qualify for Hillcrest’s vehicle liability insurance.
- Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks, sex offender registry check, and drug screen.
