Minimum Qualifications Education
Required: BSN.
Preferred: MSN
Teaching and Learning certificate or other method of compliance with NCBON rule 21
NCAC 36 .0318-C.5 required prior to hire or within 3 years of hire.
Knowledge And Skills
Standing required with Instructor-led clinical
Emotional, mental and physical demands typical of acute care nursing environment
Licensing Requirement
Active, Unencumbered North Carolina RN License or Multistate Compact.
Valid NC Drivers' License
Working Conditions and Environment
Health care clinical and educational environment or simulation labs.
Travel for training and clinical visits as necessary
Equipment Operation
PC, copier, phones, standard office and educational applications.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Be responsible for professional development and maintaining professional competence
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and others
- Perform clinical education duties as assigned
- Grade clinical assignments and paperwork
- Maintain accurate records for each course taught
- Cooperate in scheduled student evaluations of instructor and course
- Submit all college reports in an accurate timely fashion
- Attend instructor and departmental meetings as scheduled

Knowledge And Skills
- Desire to teach and guide nursing students in lab, clinical, and simulation.
- Two calendar years or the equivalent of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse.
- Knowledge of current nursing practice for the registered nurse and the licensed practical nurse.
- Current CPR certification (BLS), TB test in the last year, vaccinations up to date (titers or waivers accepted for some), or ability to complete clinical onboarding requirements in a timely manner.
